The Growing Popularity of Nachos Around the World

Nachos have evolved from a simple bar snack into a globally enjoyed comfort food. Once associated mainly with movie theaters and sports arenas, they are now found everywhere from fine dining menus to home kitchens. This transformation reflects broader changes in eating habits, cultural exchange, and the growing demand for convenient yet customizable foods.

A Brief History

Nachos originated in northern Mexico in the 1940s when Ignacio “Nacho” Anaya created a quick dish using tortilla chips, melted cheese, and jalapeños for unexpected guests. What began as a spontaneous recipe soon crossed borders and became a staple in American casual dining. Over time, the dish expanded far beyond its original form.

Automated Teller Machine (ATM): An Overview of Modern Banking Convenience

An Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is a self-service electronic banking device that enables customers to perform basic financial transactions without the need for direct assistance from bank staff. Since their introduction, ATMs have transformed the way people access banking services by offering speed, convenience, and round-the-clock availability. Today, ATMs are an integral part of the global banking infrastructure, supporting both urban and rural financial inclusion.

The primary function of an ATM is cash withdrawal, but modern machines offer a wide range of services. These include balance inquiries, mini statements, fund transfers, cash deposits, bill payments, PIN changes, and even mobile recharge services in some regions. By automating routine transactions, ATMs reduce congestion inside bank branches and allow customers to manage their finances efficiently at any time of the day.

What fuels your power

This morning when I walked into my kitchen I was welcomed with the brightness of natural light. Prior to this morning the first thing I would do at 5am is turn on the lights because it was way too dark. Working from my great room, most days I’d have to keep those lights on as I would need them for the video calls I was on. Being someone that turns everything off if I don’t need it, it was hurting my sustainability values. Humanity needs to do our part to conserve energy and I wasn’t doing that.

Therefore I decided we were going through the roof to let the natural light in. It was a process to get this done and I have done a blog about that process but what I realized this morning as I’m making my coffee, my breathing was deeper, my thoughts were about the sky…

Earth Day - April 22nd

Today I reflect on the words of a song that was first recorded in 1977 but re-recorded by Whitney Houston in February of 1985. It truly touched my heart because I had had my first child in January of that year. I’m sure these words are known by everyone “I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way…” 36 years later our children are still our future and we need to teach them today so they can lead the way!

Tomorrow is EARTH DAY and a great way to teach our children about saving our plant. Share your thoughts on what activities we can do to teach our children to lead the way!!

Here is one of mine - Cooking with locally made produce
