Shed / Casetta Part 2

Once the shed was built our contractor Blu SRL - Eleonora Arreda completed the electrical and added the lights.  Gianni then put up some holders so we can hang the chairs.

Of course something had to go wrong.  When our architect sent the final for permit approval, the person at the city says there was a misunderstanding as the shed needs to be 3 meters away from common property.  Because we live in a townhouse and apartment complex, the driveway and the garage courtyard are considered common property.  Therefore, the only option was to have all the neighbours sign off that they approve where the shed is position.  If we couldn’t get the signature then the shed would have to be moved to the gate side. 

Thankfully all the neighbours approved the location and the architect could proceed with having the document registered.  Once registered she sends the approval to the city and the shed is added to the property.  Living in Italy we have realized that things never get explained properly.  There is always some kind of miscommunication that has to be dealt with.  Patience is a virtue!

We have now organized the smaller section of the shed with summer furniture, BBQ, garden tools and a few other things.  In the larger section we lay down rubber mat and now houses the stationary bike that our kids bought for our 40th anniversary and a Bowflex weight system.  We can’t wait to start our exercise program.

Exercise is such an important part of life.  Walking, running, weight lifting, yoga, soccer, hockey or any other sport that you like will help you stay healthy.  Therefore, get out there and do what you love to do.  It is good for your body.

Casetta Parta 2

Una volta costruito la casetta, la nostra ditta appaltatrice Blu SRL - Eleonora Arreda ha completato l'impianto elettrico e aggiunto le luci.  Gianni ha poi messo dei supporti in modo da poter appendere le sedie.

Naturalmente qualcosa doveva andare storto.  Quando il nostro architetto ha inviato l'approvazione finale per il permesso, la persona del comune dice che c'è stato un malinteso in quanto la casetta deve essere a 3 metri di distanza dalla proprietà comune.  Poiché viviamo in un complesso di villette a schiera e appartamenti, il vialetto e il cortile del garage sono considerati proprietà comune.  Pertanto, l'unica opzione era quella di far firmare a tutti i vicini l'approvazione della posizione della casetta.  Se non fossimo riusciti a ottenere la firma, la casetta avrebbe dovuto essere spostato sul lato del cancello. 

Per fortuna tutti i vicini hanno approvato la posizione e l'architetto ha potuto procedere con la registrazione del documento.  Una volta registrata, invia l'approvazione al comune e la casetta viene aggiunto alla proprietà.  Vivendo in Italia ci siamo resi conto che le cose non vengono mai spiegate bene.  C'è sempre qualche tipo di errore di comunicazione che deve essere affrontato.  La pazienza è una virtù!

Ora abbiamo organizzato la sezione più piccola della casetta con mobili estivi, barbecue, attrezzi da giardino e poche altre cose.  Nella sezione più grande abbiamo steso un tappetino in gomma e ora ospita la cyclette che i nostri figli hanno comprato per il nostro 40° anniversario e un sistema di pesi Bowflex.  Non vediamo l'ora di iniziare il nostro programma di esercizi.

L'esercizio fisico è una parte così importante della vita.  Camminare, correre, sollevare pesi, yoga, calcio, hockey o qualsiasi altro sport che ti piace ti aiuterà a rimanere in salute.  Pertanto, esci e fai ciò che ami fare.  Fa bene al tuo corpo.
