Classic French Toast

French toast any way is perfect for Sunday brunch. Serving it with berries, powdered sugar and maple syrup can be a breakfast meal in itself.


2 cups and diced berries you like

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp sugar

4 eggs

1 cup milk

1 tbsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla

Pinch of salt

12 slices bread

Oil for pan

Powdered sugar

Maple syrup


  1. Combine berries, honey and sugar and let sit in refrigerator for juices to form

  2. In a large bowl whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla and salt

  3. Dip each slice of bread into egg mixture until well coated and set aside the bread on a large plate or tray so that it continues to absorb the liquid

  4. Heat non-stick pan and brush with oil

  5. Add bread slices and cook until golden on both sides

  6. Place on serving tray and sprinkle with powdered sugar

  7. Serve berries and maple syrup on the side
