Nutella Cream Cheese Twirl

Makes 10 Twirls

These are great for breakfast, brunch or dessert. Everyone loves them as they are light and fluffy and full of goodness. Get the kids to help you!


1 sheet puff pastry

½ cup Nutella

½ cup soft cream cheese

1 beaten egg

Sanding sugar (coarse sugar)

Icing sugar

Berries optional


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  2. In a bowl whisk together Nutella and cream cheese

  3. Using a rolling pin, lightly roll out puff pastry on a floured surface

  4. Cut the dough in half and on half spread out Nutella cream cheese

  5. Place the plain dough on top of Nutella dough

  6. Use rolling pin to light press the two doughs together

  7. Slice 10 pieces on the short side of dough

  8. Take each slice and twist in opposite direction and place on baking sheet

  9. Brush egg on each twirl and sprinkle with sanding sugar

  10. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown

  11. Let cool on cooling rack

Place on platter and sprinkle with icing sugar

Serve with a side of berries and cream or alone
