I write this blog sitting in my new recliner in my new house with disorganization everywhere. Can't wait to post the final "Arona - Our home away from home" blog.
This was an incredibly fast paced week with so many things going on at the house. I had to be there by 7 am to let the workers in and had to stay sometimes until 9:30 pm because they needed to get things done. I couldn't leave because from everywhere I'd hear Maria or signora we need you. Truly can say I'm good exhausted. Meaning both body and mind are tired but in a really good way.
Pretty much everything was completed and total house cleaned by Thursday at 1 pm. When they all left, all I could hear were the birds chirping. Gianni had gone to the cardiologist so I was in the finished house alone for the first time. It was a surreal experience. Knowing that nine months ago I was told it would take a miracle for Gianni to make it through the week brought on emotions that I was glad to be home alone for. To watch him put up mirrors, lights and our sign is the MIRACLE. So blessed and I'm grateful every waking moment.
OK enough of the mushy stuff. This week BLU Srl had the finishing to do and what a job they did. On Tuesday we had 12 kitchen, plumbers and furniture installers all in at the same time and boy was it crazy. I don't know how they didn't run over each other. But things got done. The team at BLU Srl are truly amazing. They were telling jokes, laughing and singing and didn't matter what their job was they all helped each other out. On the other hand, the six people from Mondo Convenienza, not so much. Three crews with three huge trucks came in and no-one helped each other out. Such a different vibe.

Settimana 5 di Ristrutturazione in Italia
Scrivo questo blog seduto nella mia nuova poltrona reclinabile nella mia nuova casa con disorganizzazione ovunque. Non vedo l'ora di pubblicare il blog finale "Arona - La nostra casa lontano da casa".
Questa è stata una settimana incredibilmente veloce con così tante cose che accadono a casa. Dovevo essere lì entro le 7 del mattino per far entrare i lavoratori e dovevo rimanere a volte fino alle 21:30 perché avevano bisogno di finere. Non potevo andarmene perché da ogni parte sentivo Maria o signora abbiamo bisogno di te. Posso davvero dire che sono buona esausta. Significa che sia il corpo che la mente sono stanchi ma in un modo davvero buono.
Praticamente tutto è stato completato e la casa totale pulita entro giovedì alle 13:00. Quando tutti sono andati via, tutto ciò che riuscivo a sentire erano il cinguettio degli uccelli. Gianni era andato dal cardiologo, quindi ero nella casa finita da solo per la prima volta. È stata un'esperienza surreale. Sapere che nove mesi fa mi era stato detto che ci sarebbe voluto un miracolo per Gianni per superare la settimana ha suscitato emozioni per le quali ero felice di essere a casa da solo. Vederlo mettere specchi, luci e il nostro segno è il MIRACOLO. Così benedetto e sono grato ogni momento di veglia.
OK abbastanza delle cose emotivo. Questa settimana BLU Srl aveva la finitura da fare e che lavoro hanno fatto. Martedì avevamo 12 cucine, idraulici e installatori di mobili tutti allo stesso tempo e era pazzo. Non so come non si siano incrociati. Ma le cose sono state fatte. Il team di BLU Srl è davvero fantastico. Raccontavano barzellette, ridevano e cantavano e non importava quale fosse il loro lavoro, tutti si aiutavano a vicenda. D'altra parte, le sei persone di Mondo Convenienza, non tanto. Tre equipaggi con tre enormi camion sono entrati e nessuno si è aiutato a vicenda. Un'atmosfera così diversa.
