Rum Honey Pork Chop

Serves 2

I wanted to make a simple fast fried pork chop with a little more flavour than garlic salt, so I sweetened the pork with rum and honey. I served this with my Stir Fried Rice Restaurant Style.


1 tbsp olive oil

6 thin sliced pork

Lawry’s garlic salt or salt and pepper to taste

¼ cup rum

2 tbsp honey


  1. Sprinkle pork with garlic salt

  2. In large skillet heat oil and fry pork about 5 minutes on each side

  3. Pour in rum and let the liquid reduce by ½ and then pour in honey

  4. Simmer for 2 minutes

Serve with rice
