Bacon Asparagus Trofie – Trofie al Bacon e Asparagi
Trofie is a thin twisted funny looking pasta from the Liguria region of Italy. It is believed it originated in the town of Sori in the province of Genoa. Trofie means “gnocchi” in the Ligurian dialect, and even though this pasta is made from flour and potatoes, it has a different in shape and texture over the gnocchi.
Today I combined this pasta with a creamy sauce with bacon and asparagus. Truly a delicious meal.

Cuzzupe 2026
Cuzzupe are traditional Easter cookies from Calabria, Italy. Originating in a region that was once quite poor, these simple, moderately firm treats became especially cherished by children—particularly when adorned with sugar and, if they were fortunate, a few colorful sprinkles. Their dry texture makes them ideal for dipping into a warm cup of caffè latte in the morning.
